YEM has been awarded a 1+1 year maintenance contract to provide performance based maintenance services to the whole milling area in the concentrator of Sino Iron Project.  The contract scope includes all of the mechanical equipment in the primary grinding & beneficiation circuit, secondary grinding & beneficiation circuit, and mag separation circuit. YEM will also be supporting continuous upgrading and improvement projects in this area to facilitate better reliability of the plant and increased output.

This was a project to strengthen the Pebble Crusher foundations.
Line 3 completed over a 3-week period.
Line 4 was an urgent job. Reinstatement was completed over a 72-hour period, working 24 hours/day.
Completed November 2016.

The 470 meter long trailing cable on the Reclaimer was damaged and required replacing during a planned shutdown.
The cable incorporates HV, fibre optics and control circuits.
The old cable was carefully disconnected and replaced with the new cable.
This was then terminated, tested and commissioned within the specified time frame.

Install cable ladder and 1800 meters of 185mm2 cable from SUB29101 to power cabinets via high level cable rack

This project is to install new cable ladder along 2.2 kilometers of overland conveyor.This is to facilitate the removal of the existing cable ladder to enable the free access of the conveyor rollers New cable to be installed where appropriate and then transfer all the existing circuits onto the new ladder.Where practicable the new cables are laid during normal production time.The circuits are transferred during times of planned shutdowns so as not to impede on production

Working directly with the client, carrying out maintenance on High Voltage equipment within the Power Station. Carrying out maintenance on High Voltage equipment throughout the mine site.
Carrying out High Voltage operations, isolations and de-isolations throughout the mine site.

Electrical Maintenance on the whole concentrator. Working directly with the client on all fronts, from the main crushers through to the port and the tailings area. Carrying out all aspects of electrical maintenance. ongoing project.

Various upgrade and improvement projects that include design, procurement and construction of slurry pipeline, water pipeline, valves, ventilation ducting pipe, poly pipes, etc.

Ongoing maintenance contract. Scope including daily maintenance of Primary magnetic separators and Secondary magnetic separators, refurb of stainless steel skin drums and rubber skin drums, as well as upgrade projects on the systems.

The scope includes design, engineering, fabrication, installation and commissioning of 6 sets of steam extracting systems. The project is to solve the issue of excessive moisture and corrosion caused from steam coming out from the hoppers. The uncontrolled steam from the hoppers was causing a detrimental impact on the main drive motors

These 7.8MW TECO motors require upgrading from OEM vendor. YEM was responsible to provide service of changing out the old motors and installing new motors. The scope includes mechanical, electrical, hydraulic piping, laser alignment of the drive train. 5 sets of motors have been changed out so far.

Different maintenance projects on the world’s largest ball mills on Sino iron site. Works including thrust bearing inspection and change out, HSB bearing inspection and adjustment, Hydraulic system maintenance and repair, mill liner inspection and change out, etc.

Various projects have been conducted to rectify alignment issues to achieve better operational conditions, including pinion change out and alignment, girth gear alignment check, 7.8MW ball mill drive train full alignment, slurry pump rebuild and drive alignment, etc.

EPC project for upgrading existing major hoppers with a new type of lining system. YEM was responsible for the engineering, design, procurement and installation of the new liners. The new design of metal backed rubber plates which are manageable by man-handling. This upgrade has improved the reliability and maintainability of the lining system resulting in less downtime and higher production rates.

YEM was responsible to provide engineering, procurement and construction package which included the mechanical, electrical and civil scope for the fine screen project. The projects’ function was to improve the efficiency of the separation of concentrate from tailings. All design, fabrication, construction and commissioning of the SMP scope and electrical scope were completed ahead of schedule. Without any incidents or injuries.

This was a continuous maintenance contract for 12 months. YEM supplied a highly skilled workforce to undertake general maintenance for the AG mill circuit. Key equipment including AG mill, Siemens Gearless Drive, cyclones, slurry pumps and piping. Project completed February 2017.

The project scope includes PM02 inspections, daily maintenance, breakdown repair and shutdown maintenance. Major equipment including Ball mill, Main motor, Gearbox, Girth Gear, Pinion, Lube System, Cyclones, Slurry Pumps and Piping.
